Your website has to be a reflection of you and not someone else’s idea of what works for them. I can help you let go of some of the “shoulds” you have about how to present yourself that might not be serving you or your customers.
Also as a working artist, I have a good eye for design and I use a wonderful theme that has a great deal of flexibility and functionality. The end result is a solid simple site that holds its own and will help built trust with your customers.

How much will this cost?
Figuring out the cost to have a WordPress website developed for you is a real challenge. There are so many variables that it is hard to establish fixed prices – no one price fits all. It all boils down to your needs. If you want that Ferrari of a site you need to hire a Web Design Firm that specializes in delivering all the bells and whistles.

1) “Just-get-me-on-the-web” Stripped Down Basic Site
$500
12 Hours of Web Development
Includes:
• Initial Concept Consultation to establish needs, concept and timeline.
• Logistical Follow-Up Session to get all the logistical needs such as web-hosting, domain registration in place.
• Three Web Pages such as Home, About, Contact.
• Images and Headers I source imagery and create headers for each page.
• Font & Colour Selection Together we choose the fonts and colours to align with your brand image.
• Logo & Tagline Adding your logo and tagline to your site.
• Pages that Flow I will break your page down into components that flow together, such as testimonials, service descriptions and calls-to-action.
• Two Rounds of Edits
• Divi Theme Tutorial Session I teach you how to change content including adding pictures, video and SEO info.
2) A Simple, Complete Site
$800 to $1000
20 Hours of Web Development
Includes:
•Initial Concept Consultation to establish needs, concept and timeline.

•Eight to Ten Web Pages such as Home, About, Contact, Services Pages, Resources, Events, Products, Blog
• Blog Page Styling I set up your blog page to entice your readers
•Images and Headers I source imagery and create headers for each page.
• Font & Colour Selection Together we choose the fonts and colours to align with your brand image.
•Logo & Tagline Adding your logo and tagline to your site.
•Pages that Flow I will break your page down into components that flow together, such as testimonials, service descriptions and calls-to-action.
•Customization with Plugins Adding the appropriate plugins to enhance the functionality of your site
• Three rounds of edits
•Divi Theme Tutorial Session I teach you how to change content including adding pictures, video and SEO info.
Does Not Include for Either Option:
• Additional time @$40 USD /hr
• Logo or Favicon Design I can do a super simple design as a placeholder when a designer is not in the cards.
• Designer Branding or Colour Palette You may wish to hire a designer to get you a consistent look across all platforms.
• Copywriting or Editing I make suggestions if you are open to any tweaks.
• Set up additional services I can help you get MailChimp, PayPal or other such services on your site, but since I do not have solid experience with these services, I do not set these platforms up for you. That’s where I call the people I know who are wizards in these realms.

Why did I feel the need to learn to do this myself?
Two reasons: Since I am at heart a personality assessment geek, my Reiss Motivational Profile shows just how much I am driven by my need for “expediency” and waiting for a request to one of my web guys was just not in the cards for me. The second reason falls under the same motivator. Preparing documentation of what I wanted done took so much longer than just doing it. At least that was the story that I told myself and it spurred me to take things into my own hands.
PLUS
Doing it myself allowed me to create on the fly… trying things out and getting immediate visual feedback on whether it worked or not. That made it FUN not work.
